i would like to do the same thing
@studioskater123 Try purchasing a 250mah battery that’s about 5g rather than the stock 3.6g 150mah battery, The extra weight at the front will increase your speed by about 40% and you’ll also benefit from a much longer battery life.
haha i have a art tech mini wolf and fly it in my room all the time and then my friend brought this little thing over to my house and the inferred set of my smoke detecters
@islekid96 Thank you
nice camera fly-by
@studioskater123 Mine is completely stock. I like to fly like 1 inch off the floor to build up speed before gaining altitude
are there any modifications on yours? My blue s107 doesnt go that fast
ive got one in blue :3
@SRTOOLEY you got that right….im 13 but i dont treat it like shit i actually want it to last
great video i was wondering you say in your video that you don’t like the spring in the gas switch, can you show how to take the spring out ???or can we???
WARNING:
To anyone hoping to get one for a small child — if the helicopter does NOT land properly the blades / balance bar will snap clean off and break. This isn’t meant for small children.
I yanked out the spring, it sucked. i don’t recommend doing it, but if you try: there’s a hidden screw under the built in charger cover. just pull it off and unscrew it, the cover pops right back on. the signal without the spring seems sketchy at best :
@yaguarete79 i live in an apartment ..and seem to have plenty of room
@cbarn360 Thank you cbarn360, you and warmfreeze have helped a lot. Man, I still don’t give this heli to my son and I’m as excited as him to test fly it!
Due to the videos I’ve seen in youtube and because my child and me love aeronautics, I’m amazed for this heli, and still haven’t used it.
I’ll post my own experience comments and video once we test it.
Thanks!!!
@warmfreeze Thank you warmfreeze! Yes, I was tempted to take it outdoors once I buy it, but I had heard something about those mild breezes which could take the heli out of control… Well, that’s a temptation we’ll have to resist. Anyway I saw it can perform good tricks indoors and you don’t need to have an enormous house, am I right?
have you taken the spring out of the throttle? i’ve been researching on my which rc copter to start with and this is a definite winner, but to my understand a throttle with no spring is much easier to manage..
Either way, would you be able to make a demo video on how to remove the throttle spring? If not, i’ll go about my own way and try to figure it out
@yaguarete79 i would like to also recommend that your son NOT take the heli outside to try to fly it as most 8 year olds will try to do ..one swift wind and its gone ..
@yaguarete79 Hi yaguarete79, the main rotor blades are virtually indestructible on this heli. They are on a swivel so that if you do hit something, they will give instead of breaking. They are also very flexible. I have crashed my heli numerous times where it hit rotor first at full speed and the blades haven’t even chipped. As for the signal range, as long as you keep the heli in sight, you should be ok. I haven’t gone out of range yet on mine.
Hi cbarn360, I’m gonna give this helicopter to my 8yr old son for X-mas. I didn’t know it has a USB charger, that’s pretty awesome and useful. However I have a couple of questions for you: what if by chance the blades hit some hard object. Do they break easily? And if that happens, are those replacements available at hobby stores?
My other doubt is what’s the maximum signal reach? I mean, if it’s infrared I guess on a different room the helicopter won’t “see” the rc signal, right?
@asianflvors no problem bud. Have fun
@ARjordanMY I’ll give it a shot later. Thanks!
@cbarn360 Go you know if theres any “HD battery” out there for the S107 ? or simply more powerfull battery..
Also, do you know if you can charge a couple of battery and swap them on the S107 to continue flying ?
this is my opinion but i disagree with you when you said anyone can fly basically right out of the box. You actually have to know how to throttle, roll, pitch, and all that other stuff. I flew this with no problem at all but its because i have years of practice, but i love this to fly around the house when i have nothing better to do
@OperationDx1 the battery lasts about 10 minutes
Do you know how many flights before you need to replace the battery?
