RC helicopters are great fun, but you need to learn the basics. There's different kinds of RC helicopters if you don't already know. A 2 control or a 3 control is best for you since it sounds like it'll be your first one. A 2 control is usually very cheap and sold in major stores. With the 2 control helicopter you can control how high you go (elevation or in fancy terms pitch) and which direction you want the helicopter to turn in (side to side or in fancy terms yaw). A 3 control does what a 2 control does, but can also go backwards, and usually has more propellers, and is more stable. If you're looking to buy online for a first one go to xheli.com. It's a good RC sight with a huge selection. Or check major stores in your area or a hobby shop.

hell yeah go for it, they are awsome machines and very rewarding when you nail your first hover.
